Common treatments, total cost

Reference ranges for a typical uncomplicated case at a tier-3 public hospital international department. All USD at ¥7.2. Reviewed June 2026.

These are reference ranges, not quotes. Before you commit to anything, we obtain a written line-item estimate from the hospital for your specific case — that number is the one that counts. Complications, ICU care and targeted drugs are not included; see unexpected costs below.

How to read these prices

Schedule entries are per-item prices — one scan, one night, one procedure — not treatment totals. A hospital bill is a stack of these lines.

Prices vary slightly by city and hospital tier. The ranges shown reflect the government-regulated spread, and you pay the hospital's own rate with no markup from us.

What can cost extra

Doctor consultation fees, ward accommodation, medications, implants and special materials are billed as separate lines.

Complications, ICU care and targeted drugs are the big variables — we explain them under unexpected costs below.

Understanding unexpected costs

Medical treatment does not always go to plan. These are the costs that can appear unexpectedly, and that we want you to know about before you travel.

ICU and extended hospital stays

If complications require intensive care, ICU daily costs in Chinese international departments typically range from about $800 to $2,500 per day, on top of the planned procedure. We help you confirm whether your insurance or deposit covers this.

Complications and re-operation

A small percentage of procedures require a second intervention. This is rare but real, and the additional cost is billed by the hospital, not by us. We disclose this in writing before you commit.

Targeted drugs and imported implants

Some cancer targeted therapies and imported orthopedic implants are not included in a base quote and can add $2,000 to $30,000 or more. We request a written line-item estimate from the hospital before you approve anything.
